It is with great excitement that we introduce Asambeni Taxi Times, South Africa’s premier community newspaper for taxi commuters. Asambeni, meaning Let’s Go in isiZulu, is more than just a publication—it is a platform for positivity, inspiration, and meaningful conversations.

We will officially launch on 13 March 2025, marking the beginning of a journey to become the number one community newspaper in South Africa. Our goal is simple: to fill your daily commute with stories that uplift, educate, and empower. From heartwarming community initiatives to insightful features on health, safety, and national awareness themes, each edition of Asambeni is carefully curated to bring good news straight to the heart of our commuter audience.

We also recognise the beauty and diversity of South Africa’s many voices. That’s why Asambeni features stories in some of our country’s official languages, making it a true reflection of the communities we serve. Whether in isiZulu, Sesotho, Xhosa, Afrikaans, or any other widely spoken language, this newspaper is a space where everyone can be heard and share their stories in the language they are most comfortable with.
