Tshepiso Aphane, known professionally as T.H-C Watseba (stylised as T.H-C), is a Cape Town-born, Gauteng-based hip-hop artist, author, and entrepreneur. With a career spanning over a decade, T.H-C has carved out his lane through sharp lyricism, grassroots hustle, and an unfiltered approach to storytelling. Having started out in Summer Greens, Cape Town, T.H-C’s journey took him through Pretoria’s varsity life and into Johannesburg’s music scene, where he refined his sound and brand. His debut album 7441-DoN put him on the map, earning radio play, festival features, and even international recognition, including appearances on Oskido’s I-Believe, Live from the B-side (USA), and music video festival circuits.

Beyond music, T.H-C is a record executive, IT professional, visual artist, and entrepreneur, co-founding the I-Range online store with his wife Misss Jayy, selling exclusive merchandise linked to his music projects. Known for staying close to his roots, T.H-C’s motto, “The best inspires the best,” reflects his commitment to both artistic excellence and community upliftment. From radio cyphers to club tours and charity events, T.H-C represents a grounded, hardworking artist making noise on his own terms.

What’s new for T.H-C?

T.H‑C is turning heads with the release of three new music videos that showcase authentic street stories told with a raw, ground-up creative approach. The visuals for Go to Guy, Scrolling, and Follow That $ are taken from his critically acclaimed album S1: Tha ObserveD, released on 20 March 2024.

Filmed in Waterfall, Midrand, the videos form part of Forest Xo’s “No Budget Video” Campaign, a grassroots project proving that passion and vision can outweigh expensive production. The themes strike a chord with everyday South Africans, reflecting the realities of hustle, perseverance, and navigating modern life.

A standout from this rollout is the Follow That $ video, directed, shot, and edited by K.Kilograms. It’s a sharp, street-smart production that perfectly captures T.H‑C’s message about chasing purpose and value rather than vanity. All three videos are now available on YouTube. T.H‑C recently released his single, Title Belt 2, featuring Money Moola and produced by Bushido, and its making waves. It’s currently enjoying steady airplay on major stations like 5FM, Metro FM, and Tshwane FM.

T.H‑C also released his newest single WYA on 25 July 2025 which was also directed and shot by K.Kilograms, the video carries a message of unity and upliftment, encouraging South Africans to support one another rather than wish hardship on others.

But perhaps the strongest indicator of T.H-C’s rising influence is how his music is being embraced by local taxi drivers, who regularly blast his tracks on daily routes.

For passengers, T.H-C’s songs have become the unofficial soundtrack of the streets, turning taxi rides into moving listening sessions. This real, organic street-level support is a clear sign of an artist connecting directly with his audience.
